Love It!!

By Dark_Jedi

I was first introduced to Little Giant ladders quite a few years ago in my old military unit. They were heavy, bulky, and just plain tough to cart around. This one is GREAT!!! It’s not so heavy that it’s unmanageable and it does the work of 10 ladders. I absolutely love it and have had no problems what so ever with it since I’ve gotten it. I HIGHLY recommend this latter to anyone!

Great idea….Good product.

By Adam

Made well & delivers what it says. Was a little concerned about the strength of the hinges when opened to full length & I put my weight on it, but no need to be, they held my weight very well (200lbs.) A lot better then the competition & the Amazon price was right. Difficult to find in my local stores to try out so took a chance & bought it on the manufacturer’s promo’s & the one review that was on Amozon & was glad I did. Would probably sell more if people could find locally to try out first.

Ladders for Dummies – NOT

By Gone2lunch

I’m a CPA, JD and member of Mensa…and a total idiot when it comes to things mechanical. (Seriously, if I were a cave person, we’d still be using sleds instead of wheels). So YMMV but this has been a bit of a disappointment for me. Yes, it’s very versatile, but I haven’t yet been able to get the work platform attached, despite assiduous study of the instructions. I extended it to paint near the ceiling – which was the reason I purchased this in the first place – but it felt so unsteady I couldn’t bring myself to climb more than halfway up. Which left me at about the same height as my traditional 6 foot stepladder. I didn’t find the written instructions very helpful but again, I’m not good at this. The LG has great reviews from people more mechanically inclined and is probably a really great ladder system; but for me, it’s just reinforced the decision to search Craigslist for cheap painters.

Solved my problem

By ctramp

The ceiling above my stairway had been peeling for some time, but until I bought this ladder, I had no good way to get to it. I considered several articulating ladders (particularly the Werner) before I settled on the Little Giant, but I’ve never looked back. This product is carefully thought out, well made and does what it claims to do better than the others I saw. My ceiling is now freshly painted and I moved on to a bedroom ceiling, splitting the ladder into two trestles and using a long board between them for scaffolding. Worked perfectly and made the job a pleasure (if that’s possible). Once I’d swallowed the hook on the ladder (17 foot Revolution XE), I ordered nearly all the accessories (step, tool tray, fuel tank, leg leveler extensions and stand-off) and have been just as pleased with them. Yes, it was all ridiculously expensive, but I rationalize that I saved hundreds of dollars doing the jobs myself so it all works out. I like the 17 foot size and was glad I didn’t settle on the 13, which I waffled over for some time. The 17 is just more versatile. It is a little heavy, as others have noted, but it earns its keep. Having used it, though, I am definitely glad I didn’t go for one of the longer versions, as they would be too heavy for me to handle comfortably. And for my homeowner use, the heavy duty version would definitely have been overkill, just making the ladder heavier and for no good reason as it is already rock solid. Overall, one of the most satisfactory tools I’ve bought in my tool obsessed life.

love it!!

By J. Roberts

ok so i am a BIG OL CHICKEN and i hate ladders, even step ladders.. but i am now a single home owner for the first time every.. recently went through a divorce and was determined to do things around the house myself.. this is the top of the line and i wanted the best so that i felt safe on the ladder if that is possible.. and i love this ladder.. you almost forget that you are actually in the air.. it is so stable and easy to use.. it is heavy so i was a little disappointed that is wasn’t lighter.. but this one is lighter than the others so i hate to feel them.. i love this one’s locks.. because the big orange lock is easier to make sure it is locked and safe.. it is a little extra money.. but so worth it.. also this one comes with the wheels on it.. you can’t see them in the picture but they are on there. thanks

Amazing ladder!!!

By C4pt4inMatt

I ran a residential construction company for a number of years before changing career paths but in that time had used more than my fair share of ladders. Everything from small fiberglass step ladders to massive aluminum extension ladders. It was often times a hassle having so many ladders laying around the jobsite and especially the extension ladders, they always seemed to be in the way. Well it’s been some time since those days but I finally caved to the hype and commercials about the Little Giants. As with anything else I wanted the best and ordered this Revolution XE 22-foot.

It arrived in a reasonable amount of time and well packaged. It was like Christmas morning opening the box and pulling out this massive ladder. Fully collapsed it is the same size as a standard 6′ step ladder. It is a bit heavier than your standard step ladder but the attached wheels make it easy to roll from spot to spot. Changing between step and extension is simple and feels plenty stable even when fully extended. I don’t fly through the evolution like the guys on TV but nonetheless it is straightforward. Every time I use this ladder I ask myself why I waited so long to get one but now that I have it I couldn’t be happier. I will say this particular size might be a bit cumbersome for small inside jobs unless you have tall ceilings. A standard 4′ step ladder is usually plenty for most inside tasks, jmo.

TIP: I have heard of people rubbing bar soap or wax in the slides to aid in extending the ladder. I haven’t tried this yet but also the first time I used the ladder I was trimming tree branches with a chain saw and didn’t realize the bar oil plug had come loose and leaked the molasses like bar oil all over the ladder providing for great slide lubrication, albeit extremely messy. One could also tie a rope to the insert bottom rung, run over the outer top run and back to the bottom outer rung allowing you to extend the ladder easier.

Good ladder but heavy

By Richard Parker

The pros on this ladder is it is like a swiss army knife. You can use it for just about anything you would for a step later or telescoping ladder.

Cons are that is is heavy. I am six foot 210lbs and have a hard time moving it around when it is expanded to the 21 foot length.

There are a few options you might want. The extension foot is nice to have on uneven surfaces.

There is also a bracket that hooks up top what pushes you away from the house that is nice. It is like a giant “U” bracket that makes it easier to work. That one is almost essential.

Good sturdy latter

By Mushmouth

Bought this latter to be able to change lightbulbs in living room that has 20 ft ceilings. Very sturdy latter. Only cons are: (1) instruction booklet hard to understand and (2) it takes 2 people to carry & set up the ladder.

Little Giant 22 ft skyscraper

By Charles Beckman

The ladder allows flexability of height and feels safe. The only problem is that, fully assembled, it weighs 105 lbs and at its 22 ft height, I am barely able to upright it with the base against a wall. It was even more difficult bringing it down, again with the base against the wall, because the downward inertia tends to increase out of control, crashing on top of me. Definitely, have help bringing it down if you cannot lift 105 lbs over your head.

Fortunately, it can be disassembled into 3 ladder parts, two of which are only 25 lbs and one 50 lbs for carrying to and from storage ( parts length just under 12 ft).
